About the Artist

Carole Hennessy was born and raised in Chicago and the south suburbs. As a teenager, she took art classes at her high school and the Junior School of the Art Institute of Chicago and went on to earn her BFA from Quincy University. She has taught art at the high school and elementary levels in both Illinois and Missouri. Later she started her own framing and arts consulting business, Art Endeavors.
Hennessy has concentrated on watercolor for more than 30 years, beginning with the arrival of her children. Over the years she has furthered her experience thru workshops with nationally known watercolor artists. She usually works in series and most of her recent work has dealt with the landscape, especially the rural areas of the Midwest farmland. The patterns of the fields and a barn against a beautiful sky are always an inspiration. |
Throughout her career, Hennessy has exhibited in local, regional and national juried exhibits. She has signature membership in the Watercolor USA Honor Society, Illinois Watercolor Society, Missouri Watercolor Society, Taos National Society of Watercolorists and is an associate member of the National Watercolor Society and the American Watercolor Society.
